When Things Don’t Go Your Way,The Warrior Way is to Trust God’s Will and Persevere

Warriors, have you ever studied for a big test or worked hard on a project at school, only to receive results that didn’t match your hard work? That feeling when things don’t go your way is so frustrating and disappointing. We all have dreams and plans, but sometimes, those plans don’t happen the way we want. What do we do then?

The Warrior Way is to persevere, to keep trusting that God’s will is greater than any plan we make. When things don’t go as expected, it’s tempting to give up, but quitting means losing the victory God has already won for us. Quitting means ending the possibility of earning and growing. Remember, God walks with us every step, stronger than any challenge we may face. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19

Let go of your worries and rest in God’s promises. It’s easy to trust when life is "peaches and cream", but real Warriors trust God when the path looks hardest, knowing He is shaping us for greater things. Faith is a daily choice. When we feel tired or discouraged, we must remember that God’s grace is enough, and His power shows strongest in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Warriors don’t quit; they keep walking forward with confidence because God’s plan prevails. Like Naaman in the Bible, who had to follow God’s instructions even when they seemed strange, or Job, who trusted God despite great suffering, Warriors keep trusting and obeying, knowing God’s timing and will are perfect.

What steps can you take when you need to trust God when things don’t go your way?

1. Pray Honestly – Share your frustrations, confusion, and even disappointment with God. He can handle your raw emotions.

2. Remember His Faithfulness – Reflect on times in your life (or in the Bible) when God turned challenges into blessings.

3. Stay in the Word – Scriptures like Proverbs 3:5-6 or Romans 8:28 remind you that His plans are always for your good.

4. Surrender Daily – Let go of the need to control the outcome. Say, “Lord, Your will, not mine.”

5. Praise in the Waiting – Worship and thank God even before you see the answer, trusting He is working behind the scenes.

6. Surround Yourself with Encouragement – Be around people and messages that strengthen your faith, not your fear.

7. Look for God’s Hand in the Small Things – Even when the big picture is unclear, He’s often guiding through little blessings and open doors.

If your eyes don’t see the way, trust God’s heart. If obstacles come, keep going because God’s wind will lift your wings and carry you to victory. Warriors, open your hearts to God’s will. Trust Him, persevere, and watch how He leads you to triumph, The Warrior Way! If you’re feeling tired or ready to quit, reach out. We’re here to pray with you and remind you that you are never alone.
