Let God Work Through the Talents And Gifts He Gave You

All of us have been gifted talents by God. Talents such as painting, dancing, singing, teaching, or building can be easily recognized. Others are quieter and often go unnoticed, like listening well, encouraging others, organizing chaos, or showing up faithfully. But every gift, big or small, has a purpose in God’s plan. God does not give us talents to keep them hidden or to use them for our recognition or personal gain; He gives them so we can help others and use them for His glory and the fulfillment of His will. When we use our talents with humility and obedience, we allow God to work through us, touching hearts, healing wounds, inspiring hope, and building His Kingdom. “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10.
Your talents are not just about what you do but what God can do through you. That is why it is vital to share them. When you use the talents God gave you, you are saying: “God, here I am, use me.” And believe me, He will use them, sometimes in ways you never expected. It is certain that when God uses your talents to bless someone, your service and selflessness will always make a difference.
Sometimes, we deprive others of being blessed with our talents because we think we are not enough or seeking perfection, but God not only works in the skilled; He works in the willing. Whenever you use your gifts to bless, He amplifies the impact. Ultimately, everything is because of Him, and to Him belongs all the glory. One song sung in love, one word spoken in truth, one act of service, one prayer, or one smile, He can use them all to fulfill His purpose.
When we use our talents to serve others, encourage, uplift, teach, or bring joy, we participate in God's purpose for someone's life. We become mirrors reflecting God’s light to a world in need. That is why we must be willing to share our gifts with others. The enemy would love for you to believe you have nothing to give. However, you were made to create, share, and build up. When you offer your talents to others, you open your heart in an act of humility and trust. It is vulnerable, yes, but it is also sacred.
Creativity is a powerful tool for evangelism. A poem can speak the truth. A painting can stir hope. A meal can communicate love. A song can awaken faith. When we share our gifts, we preach the gospel without always using words. So today, I encourage you not to hide your gifts, and do not let fear, comparison, or insecurity keep you from blessing others with what God has placed in you. Creativity is not just about making things; it is about making an impact. It is about being faithful to what you’ve been given and allowing your work to be a light that points back to the Giver. God entrusted you with something beautiful. Now go and bless someone with it!
