This week, we ended our first Semester of school. It has been a great Semester, full of wonderful accomplishments and beautiful memories together as a family. We are ending the semester with gratefulness and excitement because God has been faithful to us. Today we start our Christmas Break, and for two weeks, our Warriors will have time to rest and enjoy their time with family. Knowing how anxious children and teens can get when they have too much free time, we have developed a list of activities you can participate in to
Fun Things To make this Christmas Break memorable:

Christmas at Ancient City Farmstead – A festive family holiday experience featuring outdoor ice skating, a beautifully lit 45-foot Christmas tree, Santa’s Workshop, crafts, kid-friendly games, bounce houses, food trucks, and cozy holiday photo spots. It’s held on weekends in December and offers an affordable, memory-making Christmas outing for families looking for something local, fun, and magical.

historic district.
Family Movie Day/Night – Choose a Christmas classic, make popcorn, turn off the lights, and turn your living room into a cozy theater.
Game Night – Board games, card games, charades, or a family “Minute to Win It” competition, simple fun that brings everyone together.

Christmas Story Night – Read the Nativity story, light candles, and talk about the true meaning of Christmas as a family.
Craft Afternoon – Paper snowflakes, popsicle-stick Nativities, fingerprint trees, or gingerbread houses are fun and affordable.
Christmas Music Dance Party – Turn up the music and let the kids dance, laugh, and enjoy the moment.
Neighborhood Lights Walk – Grab hot cocoa, put on warm clothes, and walk or drive around to enjoy local Christmas displays.
Family Photo Scavenger Hunt – Make a list of items like a wreath, candy cane, Christmas tree, Nativity, and Santa hat, then find them around town or at home.
Remember, you don’t need to spend a lot to have memorable experiences this Christmas Break. The important thing is to be present and enjoy quality time together, no matter what you do. I encourage you to be creative and include everyone. Be mindful of accessibility and include activities during the day that can accommodate everyone, and enjoy every moment together. May your home be filled with laughter, love, and little traditions that become everlasting memories. From our VPS Family to yours, we wish you a Christmas season sprinkled with joy and a New Year overflowing with hope and fresh beginnings.
