Share Your Blessings With Others

This week, we welcome the month of November. This month is known as Thanksgiving month. Every time we get to this month, I get reminded of an important Bible verse about giving. You find it in the Book of Acts, Chapter 20, verse 35. It says, "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." As Christians, we must be kind and generous with others. Giving is a way we show kindness towards others and obey God's will.

Every blessing we have received comes from God, so the least we can do as an act of gratefulness is to share our blessings with those who need them. Giving is an act of appreciation and helps us honor those who deserve it. Another reason why we should give is that the more we give, the more we will receive. God blesses the cheerful giver. We see it in 2 Corinthians 9:7.Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” He will give us more so we can continue blessing others. “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.” Proverbs 19:17.

When we share our blessings with others, we obey God's Word, and at the same time, we worship God. “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16. This month, dare to bless someone in need. Show God how grateful you are by sharing your blessings. Be mindful of the necessities of those around you and be the vessel that carries their blessings. You will be surprised by how gratifying it is. You could be the answer to someone else's prayer and, at the same time, be blessed by it.
