How to Honor Your Warrior Status This Semester

Another year has started, another semester to shine and honor God with our lives as VPS Warriors. Being a Warrior is not just a title; it’s a call to live with faith, kindness, courage, and integrity. We must show with our actions and trust in God that we have been set apart to serve Jesus. Honoring our Warrior status can influence our school, friends, and family, and change the lives of those around us. Being a Warrior carries a great responsibility because we should show the fruits of it. How? Here are some practical ways you can honor your Warrior status:

• Walk in Faith – Trust God in every challenge and decision.

• Show Kindness – Encourage, help, and include classmates and teachers.

• Strive for Excellence – Give your best effort in every area: schoolwork, sports, and personal goals.

• Be an Encourager – Lift others with kind words and actions.

• Practice Integrity – Make honest choices, even when no one is watching.

• Respect Others – Treat peers, teachers, and school property with care.

• Participate Actively – Engage in class, school activities, and events.

• Lead by Example – Demonstrate positive behavior and strong character.

• Take Responsibility – Own your actions, finish tasks, and meet commitments.

• Represent the VPS Family with Pride – Carry yourself with honor, respect, and in obedience to God.

Being a Warrior means lifting others, not tearing them down; it means helping classmates, using polite words, including everyone in activities, and being patient with differences. It means giving our best to every task, not only in school, but at home and in our daily lives. Being a Warrior is to give all the glory to God, and recognize that all we do is not by our own effort but by His grace and strength. When we realize this, we humble ourselves and do things for the right reasons. 

Being a Warrior is a daily choice we make before we get out of our home. We are the ones who decide to trust God, obey, and follow Him. I invite you to pick one way to practice faith, kindness, or encouragement each week, and by the end of this month, you’ll be honoring your Warrior status in every area. Let’s step into this new semester with courage and love, shining God’s light as a true Warrior!
