Praising and Thanking God While You Wait

I love the quote: "Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway." This quote encourages us to praise God while we wait and not at the end when we already received the blessing. Giving thanks and trusting God in the middle of a process is a powerful practice that can bring many benefits to our lives. It's a way of maintaining a positive perspective, even when faced with challenges or uncertainties because we trust God's will and know He will get us through. It's not easy, I know, especially when we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, but that is what faith is all about. When we walk by faith, we are not walking by what we see; we are acting upon what we are waiting for with the certainty that God will open a new door, provide, and get us through into victory. Philippians 4:6 says: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." This verse tells us not to be anxious and to trust God, and it goes further than that; it encourages us to give thanks before we receive God's blessing.

Here are some reasons why giving thanks and praising God in the middle of a process can be valuable:

1. Gratitude is the key that opens the door to faith and enhances our mental and emotional well-being.

2. Even in the toughest times, expressing gratitude for the positive aspects of your life can help you develop resilience and perseverance through challenges.

3. Gratitude allows us to appreciate the journey and find joy in the small blessings.

4. When we express gratitude towards those who support us, we fortify our relationships and cultivate a sense of connection and mutual appreciation.

5. When you acknowledge the progress you've made, you are providing yourself with the fuel needed to keep going. Remember that every small step forward is a reason to keep pushing toward your goal.

6. Reflecting on things you're grateful for can lead to personal growth, helping you better understand your values, priorities, and what truly matters to you.

7. When you praise God in the middle of the trial, you are showing Him that you trust Him and that you cast all your cares on Him. Praising Him will give you peace, boost your faith, and help you see beyond the problem.

Giving thanks amid a trial or while we wait doesn't mean overlooking or downplaying your difficulties. It simply means acknowledging that there are blessings, even in the middle of a process. Thanking and praising God while you wait can boost your faith, fill you with the peace that surpasses all understanding, and give you the strength to continue waiting.
